DIY Smartphone Projector

Always wanted to get yourself a projector but could not afford one? Why not build one of your own using a shoe box with these really easy to follow steps by  over at instructables.

Step 1: Things that you need

-magnifying glass (cut handle)

-glue stick

-shoebox (any kind that fits in your phone or tablet)

-glue gun

Step 2: Glue the side of the box

glue the corners of the box to prevent it from wiggling. I’m using hot glue because i ran out of PVA glue.

Step 3: Tracing and cutting a round hole

use a ball pen or a pencil to trace the magnifying glass, now grab your compass and cutter to cut off a perfectly round hole. if you don’t have a cutter you can use a hobby knife.

Step 4: Remove

Remove the cut piece from the box but save it for later.

Step 5: Positioning the lens

Position your lens right in the center.

Step 6: Glue the lens

Step 7: Cut off the protrusion

Use the your previous cut out as a stencil.

Step 8: Make the phone stand

Step 9: Tape your phone

Use a double sided tape to mount the phone in the stand

Step 10: Set your phone

-you must set your phone to the highest brightness.

-then lock your screen

Step 11: Adjust your projector
